Hey Sis, Hey! I’m Belinda, the blogger behind In Quiet Trust. Welcome to my corner of the web! Thanks for stopping by to learning a little more about me. I started this journey in 2018 as an outlet to share my motherhood journey and to connect with other mothers of color. At that time, I was caring for two toddlers under age 2, barely getting any sleep, and in need of mommy support or like-minded mommy friends. I am living proof that motherhood should never be done alone. This space is dedicated to helping millennial women find their strength & sanity while navigating Motherhood, Marriage, and Faith. I hope you’ll stay awhile and invite a few other mamas to join you too!
About My Family
I am a wife to my tall chocolate bar husband, D. We’ve been married since 2012 and were blessed to become parents three years later. We now have two spunky kids, two years apart, who have brought so much love, laughter, and joy into our world. Currently, we reside in sunny Palm Beach, Florida but are both from Miami, Fl. We are first generation Haitian-Americans, and both speak fluent Creole! Sak pase’!!! We enjoy cooking, traveling, and playing old video games as a family. Nintendo Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country are our current faves!
About My Faith
I am a Jesus girl at heart! My entire life has been rooted in my faith in Jesus Christ. I was raised in a Bible-believing home and am now raising my children with the same foundation. I accepted Christ as my Personal Savior in middle school and have been walking with Him ever since. I’ve served in ministry for over 15 years as a Girl’s ministry youth leader, Gospel Radio co-host, Worship leader, Women’s Ministry assistant, and Executive team member.
My faith has been tested in many ways. But Marriage and Motherhood is teaching me more about myself and my faith daily. When the blessing of marriage and motherhood begin to feel like a burden, check your faith and turn to God. Sis, God is the ticket to navigating marriage and motherhood. Here’s a few of my faves in a nutshell.
- I’m a foodie.
- I love all things Pasta related.
- I am a “Shoe-holic” and have an entire wall in my closet designated for shoes. Sounds bad, but who can turn away from a nice pair of shoes!!
- I am a Chai tea lover. My favorite Chai Tea to date remains French Vanilla Chai with a hint of coconut.
- Lastly, I love all shades of purple & lavender? I’m sure you’ve figured that out already.
